Aftercare
After a kambo ceremony, it is crucial to take care of yourself properly. Ensure you stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water. Eat nourishing foods to help replenish your body's nutrients. Allow yourself time to rest and recover, listening to your body's needs. Engage in gentle activities such as walking or stretching to support the detox process. Reach out to your Kambo N.I. practitioner if you have any concerns or need further guidance on post-ceremony care. Remember, self-care is essential after a kambo experience to aid in your integration and well-being. Below are a set of guidelines that will ensure you get the most out of your Kambo treatment.
· Dietary Considerations for Post-Treatment: Following your Kambo session, it is important to prioritize your diet by steering clear of refined sugar, processed, and deep-fried foods for at least 48 hours. Instead, opt for nourishing whole foods to aid your body's recovery.
Rest and Recuperation: To allow your body to fully recuperate, refrain from intense physical activities for at least 48 hours post-treatment. Consider taking the remainder of the day off work to give yourself the necessary time to rest.
Emotional Processing: Allocate some alone time to process any emotions that may surface in the days following your session. Be prepared for an emotional processing period that can unfold over the next 5 days or even longer with multiple treatments.
Mind-Altering Substances: Avoid consuming any other mind-altering substances for a minimum of 48 hours to allow the Kambo medicine to work effectively. Give the process the space it needs to unfold naturally.
Follow-Up and Care: Wait at least 5 days after your treatment before reaching out to your practitioner unless it is an emergency. After this period, you can schedule a complimentary 30-minute phone call to address any ongoing concerns.
Health Concerns: If you experience any health issues post-treatment, seek assistance from a healthcare professional if symptoms persist. Your well-being is a priority, and it's essential to address any persistent problems promptly.
Gate Care: Avoid touching the gates directly with your fingers to prevent contamination. Keep them clean by bathing regularly. Refrain from picking scabs, and only use Dragon’s Blood as a dressing. If your gates show signs of swelling and pain that do not improve after 48 hours, consult a general practitioner for further evaluation and care.
